MRI検査 (MRI kensa)

MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of soft tissues, organs, and the nervous system without radiation. It excels at imaging the brain, spinal cord, joints, and internal organs. MRI is the preferred modality for diagnosing brain tumors, stroke, herniated discs, ligament injuries, and multiple sclerosis.

MRI machines in Japan are loud; patients are given earplugs and must remove all metal objects including jewelry; those with pacemakers or certain implants must notify staff.
