What it means
A nebulizer treatment converts liquid medication into a fine mist that you inhale directly into your lungs through a mask or mouthpiece. It is used to deliver bronchodilators, steroids, or antibiotics for conditions such as asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis, or respiratory infections. Each session typically takes ten to twenty minutes.
