Emergency Call (119)
In Japan, dial 119 for ambulance (救急車, kyūkyūsha) and fire services. Operators are trained professionals; stay calm, speak clearly, and provide your location first. If you cannot speak Japanese, say 'Eigo o hanashimasu ka?' (Do you speak English?) immediately. Some dispatch centers have access to telephone interpretation services.
