Yamanashi 山梨県
Yamanashi Prefecture is an inland basin prefecture surrounded by mountain ranges, including the southern flank of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps. Known for winemaking, peaches, and adventure tourism, the prefecture has a modest but growing foreign resident population in agriculture, hospitality, and manufacturing. Kofu is the administrative and commercial center.

Yamanashi Prefecture operates public health centers (保健所, hokenjo) across its municipalities. Public health centers manage infectious disease surveillance, maternal and child health programs, and mental health consultation.
