Yamaguchi 山口県
Yamaguchi Prefecture occupies the western tip of Honshu, facing both the Sea of Japan and the Seto Inland Sea. The prefecture is known for its historic industrial heritage including the Ube industrial complex, and for the Hagi castle town and Akiyoshidai limestone plateau. Public health center (保健所)
Yamaguchi Prefecture operates public health centers (保健所, hokenjo) across its municipalities. Public health centers manage infectious disease surveillance, maternal and child health programs, and mental health consultation. Contact the prefectural health department or your municipal office to locate the nearest hokenjo.
