Miyazaki 宮崎県
Miyazaki Prefecture occupies the Pacific coast of southern Kyushu, known for its subtropical climate, Miyazaki Seagaia resort complex, and traditional agricultural production including mangoes and beef cattle. The prefecture has a growing foreign resident population in agriculture and food processing. Miyazaki City and the coastal towns are the main inhabited centers.
Healthcare landscape
Miyazaki University Hospital and Miyazaki Prefectural Miyazaki Hospital are the main tertiary-care facilities. The prefecture's relatively low population density outside Miyazaki City means rural residents depend on regional hospitals for most healthcare needs. Miyazaki International Foundation (MIF) provides consultation in 23 languages and assists foreign residents with healthcare navigation across the prefecture.
