Kyoto 京都府
Kyoto Prefecture encompasses the historic capital city as well as the northern Tango Peninsula along the Sea of Japan coast. Healthcare landscape
Kyoto University Hospital is the prefecture's leading academic medical center; Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine Hospital and Kitano Hospital are also major tertiary facilities. Several private hospitals in the Kyoto metropolitan area have dedicated international patient services. Kyoto Prefecture International Center (KPIC) provides consultation in 25 languages and can refer foreign residents to interpretation-accessible medical facilities.

Public health center (保健所)
Kyoto Prefecture operates public health centers (保健所, hokenjo) across its municipalities. Public health centers manage infectious disease surveillance, maternal and child health programs, and mental health consultation. Contact the prefectural health department or your municipal office to locate the nearest hokenjo.
